There was a lovely suprise party for a friend who's leaving his company (his contract as didn't get renewed after 8 years, much to his suprise) at the theatre bar last night. After being away most of the week and weekend, it was fun to see so many friends in the room at the same time. Many people to talk to. The friend was totally suprised and very touched by the things folks said.

Unfortunatly, we stayed there until almost 4am - why does that ALWAYS happen on Monday nights?? And I felt like shit this morning, so called in sick to work. Spent the morning watching old, first-season episodes of Buffy and then went and met R for lunch, which was mostly a couple of beers to cure our respective hang-overs from last night. Talked about books and movies and the chores his girlfriend is making him do now that he's unemployed. And we laughed a lot.

Now I'm back home, ready for dinner and an early night. Perhaps some more Buffy, who knows. Cause tomorrow morning, it's back to the gym. Oh yes, it is.
