Well. R's back in town. After almost 2 months. He called me this afternoon and we're going to go for a beer or two (yeah, right) tomorrow after my rehearsal. He's his usual cheery self. All bummed out from having to leave his daughter back in Ontario again. And coming home to very little work this year. And his car isn't working for the umpteenth time. He sort of whined at me a lot, so I told him he's better get his Eeyore ass on the bus tomorrow and be at the bar at 3. And no whining. We'll see. Can I resist getting sucked into all this again? It's been a pretty good and uneventful summer. Here's hoping.
